Dear Daryl,
Waddell, Williams & Associates Foundation would like to thank you for your support last year. Your contribution and support last year allowed the foundation to continue its support of local, regional and national charitable organizations.
The Foundation was created to provide financial support to nonprofit charities. The Waddell Williams & Associates Foundation is deemed a 501(c) (3) nonprofit charitable foundation. Our Foundation is committed to youth educational development and attainment to fulfill its mission. The Foundation is also mandated to further the general morale, welfare, and provision of amenities for or concerning youth health, family values and the overall well being of youth.
Last year your donation helped support several local charities including the following press release about Lawrence William’s activity with:
Free vision screenings and glasses
Approximately 100 students from Chestnut Elementary, Reedy Creek Elementary and Discovery Intermediate schools will be given the gift of sight this holiday season.
The Vision Van from the national Give the Gift of Sight program provided free eye exams and new eyewear to select students Dec. 5, 2008. A volunteer optometrist provided thorough eye exams and made a new pair of eyeglasses for the children. Founded in 1988, Give the Gift of Sight is a family of charitable programs providing free vision care and eyewear to underprivileged individuals in North America and in developing countries around the world. Residents were invited to drop off eyeglasses in the designated boxes in each school’s health room that were donated to Give the Gift of Sight. The eyewear collection was to provide a new life to people and children who have never before seen clearly. Lawrence Williams with Waddell, Williams & Associates Foundation facilitated the partnership between the Osceola County School District and Give the Gift of Sight. Other organizations that received donations and/or support from WWAF activities included the Max Starks Youth Football Camp, the Ira Newble Foundation, Florida Hospital, the Boy Scouts of America and the I Have A Dream Foundation.
WWAF would like to thank the supporters of the Annual Celebrity Golf Outing including the Ginn Company which provided great support and donations to the event.
WWAF would also like to thank Branch Bank and Trust (BB&T), Max Starks, Ira Newble and the many celebrities and corporations that sponsored or participated in the event.
Most often when times are tight charitable given is the first thing to disappear. WWAF is not immune to the difficult times in particularly this year. Charitable donations are down, sponsorships are down and the organizations we support are in greater need as the economic conditions are straining their resources.
Due to economy and needs in the community WWAF has decided to postpone the 2009 Celebrity Weekend Event.
WWAF will use all its donations and resources to help other charities and foundations in desperate need of our support.
We are working on several charitable initiatives that you will hear about in the future including the major support of one of the local charities that’s helping families with children suffering from illnesses and in need of medical attention.
Attached for your tax purposes is our 501 (C) (3) designation number.
WWAF appreciates and thanks you for your prior support and your continued support. Economic times are challenging raising the needs for charitable services.
Waddell, Williams & Associates along with the WWA Foundation will continue our efforts to support local and national charities and the communities they service.
Sincerely,
Eric J. Waddell
